ABOUT THIS SITE
To provide information to readers on how to stay healthy and avoid illness.
Criteria and methods use in building site:
I purchased many books that reported results of laboratory experiments using
different nutrients. I performed a literature search at a university library to verify the accuracy of most of the reports. Only those data that were published in reputable journals were used.
Are data results of experiments or only theoretical ones?
Some data from publications such as medical handbooks were assumed to be valid. All other data are the results of experiments.
What are the advantages of using this site?
Many physicians do not have the time required to keep abreast of the latest news concerning nutritional supplements. (A friend of mine asked his doctor if he studied nutrition in school and the reply was, "yes, about 4 hours". When my friend said, "semester hours?" the doctor replied, "no just one afternoon".) Most of the consumers, in this country (USA) at least, are ignorant of nutrition. This might be of value to them. This site data will be revised whenever new data becomes available to the author. All of the other sites that I have checked seem to only want to sell a product and do not provided any evidence for the validity of their product.
Is the information contained on this site free for use by physicians and consumers?
This site data is available to all as long as the copyright notice and other data at the top of the page is included. I would appreciate donations for my work from those who find it of value to them. For personal use only. Not for sale or hire. Permission to make copies by you for you and your friends is hereby granted. If you find this site to be of value a donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated. You are advised to consult a knowledgeable physician before using any of the nutrients listed herein. See note 10 for information on obtaining a list of this rare breed of medical doctors.
